Cinocal is 19 year old Jamie Ranfone, from Washington DC. Ranfone, a huge enthusiast of 90s hiphop and dilla style beats, layers his songs with vinyl samples, obscure dialogue, and smooth melodies that the whole family will enjoy. Following his EP from 2012, Kayas, and his single Resonance, Cinocal plans to release new music with a cohesive flow.
RCRDS is the duo of Davis Connors (Pines) and Felipe Valdez, members of the
Cell▲r Door collective from Washington D.C. Their sound incorporates
woozy drones and hiphop inspired beats accompanied by ethereal vocals
and detailed samples, although is not limited to a single genre. When it
comes to writing, ideas flows naturally falling into a stream of
consciousness avoiding forced feelings and typical song structure.
Lyrics are seemingly abstract, despite reflecting on specific
experiences through bleak imagery and introspective concepts. The
group’s first release, Summer Aches EP, will be out early spring launching the Cellar Door Collective.
PINES is the moniker for 19-year old Davis Connors, born in outside of
Washington DC, although currently living in Chicago.
